SHIGO ASIA AG is recognized as an “Environmentally Friendly Enterprise” and a leading proponent of ecologically-friendly business practices. Blanket manufacturing traditionally generates significant waste as a result of the pollutants from printing and washing processes.  Shigo Asia’s manufacturing facilities have created a state-of-the-art sewage treatment and water recycling facility adjacent to its factories that has the capacity to handle 5,800 cubic meters of water each day.  A second water treatment plant is being built now, which will expand Shigo’s waste water treatment capacity by an additional 2,600 cubic meters per day.
 
Currently, Shigo’s printing and dying processes exclusively utilize recycled water, which is repeatedly reused throughout each day.  Not only has the company dramatically reduced its costs, but it has firmly established itself as an industry leader committed to excellence in green manufacturing.  Shigo’s sewage treatment facility was certified according ISO14000. Beyond its commitment to reducing waste water, Shigo Asia AG has outfitted its factories with smokeless boilers, which do not emit residual gas or industrial residue.
